Anytime that this author announces a new book it always makes me so happy! As soon as I first saw the social media post about it, I couldn’t wait to read it! Having read Hot Chicken it had me looking even more forward to it. I picked it up and headed right back to Candy Cane Key! I enjoyed this story so much!
Harlow and Harrison’s journey pulled me right in! Harlow is a hardworking single mom of two sons and works in the ER and is in the National Guard as well. Harrison runs his own construction company and is taking care of his mom who has Alzheimer’s. As Harrison is working on construction at the hospital it leads to his and Harlow’s paths to cross. Will Harlow and Harrison take a chance and let each other in?
There was such realness to both Harlow and Harrison that truly got to me. Both of them were tackling many things in their lives and I felt for these two. I didn’t know how they’d deal with everything going on their lives, to their work and families, and everything they made each other feel which got me even more into their story.
Harlow and Harrison truly cared for their loved ones and it shined throughout their story. Their humanness was so relatable. It isn’t easy for these two. Their chemistry was so good! I went through so many emotions with both Harrison and Harlow throughout reading!
It was such a treat to be back in Candy Cane Key!
With Hard Hat Hottie, LM Fox has created such a good read that brought realness, spice, and so many feels that all kept me turning the pages! This author’s words and characters always get to my heart. I can’t wait to read what she brings our way next! ๐๐งโโ๏ธ
