As soon as I stumbled across a social media post for this book it caught my eye right away and I wanted to read it. Being new to this author’s work had me looking forward to it even more! I picked it up and headed right on into the Crimson Ridge world. I so enjoyed this story!
Layla and Colton’s journey captured my attention quickly! Layla is working towards being a Vet and is heading to Crimson Ridge to take care of some things with her ex. It leads Layla to Devil’s Peak Ranch and to Colton, a man she’s run into before. Colton is a cowboy who runs Devil’s Peak Ranch and the father of Layla’s ex. Little did Layla and Colt know that they’d been spending more time together. As sparks ignite, will Layla and Colton give into the forbidden between them?
Both Layla and Colton got me right into their story. I really liked the way these two met and how they collided again. From having to deal with being around one another to their attraction and everything else going on, I couldn’t wait to see how it’d all unfold for these two. I wasn’t sure how certain things would go which I so enjoyed.
Layla and Colton had such good chemistry, even when admitting what’s between them wasn’t easy. I adored the fact that Layla wanted to be a Vet and that Colton worked at his ranch. I wanted to talk to them through my kindle at times and I felt so much with both of them. Layla and Colton were blushworthy together!
It was fun getting into the Crimson Ridge world for the first time! From Ex-boyfriend’s Dad to the forced proximity and forbidden of it all, There were so many aspects of this story that I so enjoyed!
With Chasing the Wild, Ms.Rose has created such a good read that brought steam, kept me on edge, and many feels! I am so looking forward to reading more from this author, especially book two, Braving the Storm! 💗🤠
