Review & Promo Tour – Lucian Divine By Renée Carlino

“My guardian angel is a drunk.”

Evelyn Casey’s life is at a standstill. She’s in her mid-twenties, struggling with the dating scene in San Francisco. Nothing seems to be working out, and she’s starting to think that she’ll live out her days in her crummy apartment with her overbearing roommate, Brooklyn. It’s absurd, but sometimes Evey longs for a guardian angel to show up and save the day.

And then he does. Seriously. His name is Lucian and he’s a guardian angel, been on the job for two thousand years. His sudden presence in her life is both good—he’s brilliant, witty, and warm—and bad—he’s brilliant, witty, warm, and hot as —-. But as perfect as Lucian seems, he’s got problems of his own. He’s taken up drinking and he’s brazenly inserted himself into Evey’s life, going against the greatest cosmic law ever created.

For Evey, the rules are simple: You are not allowed to hook up with your guardian angel. But sometimes fulfilling your destiny requires a leap of faith, a confrontation with God.

Yes, God as in God.

My Review –

4.5 Give Me Love Stars!!

*I volunteered to review a Copy of this book from InkSlinger PR*

Thank you so very much InkSlinger PR!! I am extremely honored and grateful!! 🙂

This was my first time reading Ms.Carlino’s work and I know i have been kicking myself for awhile because of that fact. I am so happy this was the first book i read by her though. I loved it! From beginning to end I couldn’t get enough of it. I truly enjoyed Evelyn and Lucian’s story! It had my emotions all over the place from getting teary eyed to laughing my butt off. My heart broke my heart throughout as well. I know this may sound cliché but this story is unlike any other that i have ever read! It was thought provoking and made me wonder if I have my very own Guardian Angel. Anything could be possible.

How far would you go for Love? . . .

Lucian Divine is about Evelyn who is looking for love in this crazy world and Lucian her Guardian Angel. Yes, you read that right. When these two meet face to face nothing is ever the same again. Evelyn was very relatable to me during many parts in this story particularly how she wanted certain things out of life like falling in love. I really liked her but wanted to shake some sense into her at times. Lucian, My sweet sweet Lucian! He was hilarious, beautiful, and so very weird. I love him and he’ll be one of my book boyfriends forever. There were so many twists that I did not see coming and I was on the edge of my seat wondering how things would turn out for them!

The secondary characters were fascinating to me as well, especially Zack. I really recommend you go into this story blind because nothing i can say will ever do it justice.

Ms.Carlino really knocked it out of the ball park with this one! I didn’t want it to end yet i had to know what was going to happen to these two characters. I was devouring my Kindle like a mad woman. This was phenomenal Ms.Carlino! That Preface really made me smile and you are so right! We shouldn’t take ourselves so seriously all the time! Laugh and Live my friends! I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next! I am so looking forward to picking up the rest of her books! 🙂

If you haven’t already One-Clicked, What are you waiting for? Buy it Today! Be prepared to feel every emotion under the sun! I hope you love it as much as I did my fellow book lover! 4.5 Stars all around!! 🙂
