I don’t see dead people.
I see you.
I see every incarnation of you.
I see the history of your soul.
I can see your aura soaked in the blood of your previous lives.
Most people are inherently good or evil.
Some flit between darkness and light.
Few can change the fabric of their essence; it’s a fight that most are too weak to win.
He was once darkness.
An evil so pure that his very soul is black and yet I am drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
Some days, I feel like I am drowning, the waves of my feelings stealing the very air from my lungs.
Other days, I feel nothing at all.
I’m unsure which is worse; gasping for air or dying from this thirst.
Can you learn to breathe underwater when you find someone worth drowning for?
Feyness is a dark standalone.
Readers of a sensitive disposition may want to step away from the book.
Step away, nothing to see here.
Readers who like to dance on the dark side, come on in and enjoy the ride.
My Review –
4.5 Evil in the flesh Stars!!
Thank you so very much Ms.Carter and The Hype PR for sending me a copy of Feyness!! I am honored and grateful!! 🙂
This was my first time reading Ms.Carter’s work and I loved every dark gritty second of it!! I really like dark books but this one takes things to a different kind of level in which I was surprised but in a good way. It made me happy to discover that both the main characters had their very own point of views. From beginning to end it was fast paced with no slowing down in sight which I enjoyed thoroughly. Hunter meets Prey in this sinister tale of cat and mouse. It was shocking, bloody, sexy, and extremely action-packed!! Faye and Cole’s story isn’t a pretty one nor is it for the faint of heart. Ms.Carter created one heck of a thrilling and addictive story that left me wanting more! I cannot wait to pick up more of her work!! 😀
Fraye Craven was a character who knew what Evil looked like in the flesh. Losing the one person in her life that cared for her changed her in unexplainable ways. She could see right through people’s bull crap and lies quite literally. I hated what she had to endure in her life and how painful it was for her to rehash the past. I absolutely hated her father and how cruel he was. Faye deserved better than she was given. I hoped that in the end she’d be able to live freely the way she wanted to without fear.
Cole Hunter was a character who was a man on a mission. Revenge is what drove him daily and harming those who’d done him wrong was second nature. He was the devil in disguise and didn’t care what others thought of him as long as they feared him. I understood the reasoning behind his actions but I didn’t agree with them at times. He was all kinds of wrong and all kinds of sexy mixed into one. During the beginning I didn’t quite like him but that changed when I learned more about him (Does that make me crazy?). I hoped in the end he’d become less frightening.
King and Queen go head to head in this story where sparks fly, danger lurks and seeing blood isn’t unsettling but rather the norm. Will things stay the same or can evil ever truly be redeemed?
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a read that features an unconventional romance and moments that will chill you to the bone. It’s gruesome during some but I couldn’t turn away and was hooked throughout. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s definitely worth trying if you’ve been itching to enter darker worlds!! I promise you won’t regret it!! If you haven’t already One-Clicked Buy it Today!! 4.5 Stars all around!! 🙂
Eli Carter is a mum of three from the U.K.
She is a stay-at-home mum and a part-time advocate for families of children with special needs.
Her life is pretty manic, and she often gets asked, “How do you find the time to write?”
The answer is simple; she never sleeps, but not from lack of trying.
Reading and writing are her therapy, her solace and often the one thing that gets her through the long nights. (That and copious amounts of caffeine and sugar!)
She loves to connect with readers, so please feel free to friend/follow her on Facebook, IG and Twitter or join her reader’s group, E’s Elite.
