Release Day Blitz – Blood & Rust (Lock & Key Book #4) By Cat Porter

Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs

Release Date: June 22, 2016

The bad boy.
The fuck up.
The thief.

That was me.

Once a king,
Now a wanderer.

I’d thrown the best parts of me away, over and over again.
I was reckless.
Still am.
I’d been exiled.
I did my time.
I’ve cleaned up.
Well, sort of.
I got plans.
Yeah, good ones.

Then I ran into her.

A bolt of lightning
Out of reach.

The woman I once scorned years ago
is now the woman I can’t live without.
I need what I didn’t think I’d ever need again.
I want and want and want.

She’s the epicenter of the war I’ve triggered,
of the battle in my rusted heart.
I may be as reckless as I ever was,
but I’m determined as fuck.

To hell with it.

I want it all.

My Review –

Thank you so very much Sassy Savvy Fabulous PR for sending me a copy of Blood & Rust!! I’m very honored and grateful!! 🙂

5 Find that zing Stars!!

First of all can I just say how much I love the cover of this book? I totally pictured him as Butler. This story was sexy, intense, heartbreaking, gritty, and hopeful all mixed into one! I really enjoyed that things took time to progress between the two main characters and there wasn’t that instant like factor. It was refreshing in that way and in many more. MC books always have a special place in my heart and this one really left it’s mark.

The Lock & Key series is one of those series that truly changes the game for MC stories in general and there’s this realness that is always present to the point that you feel as if you know the characters personally. Ms.Porter truly grabbed my attention with this roller coaster ride of a story and didn’t let go until the last page.

Tania was a character that was finally done with pretending with life and love in general. A new journey is something that many need and it was right up her alley. She cracked me up and I loved that she had a spark to her. The way she wanted true emotion and to have someone else feel anything for her other than indifference was very relatable. Her passion for antiques and finding beauty in things many might not see was something truly beautiful. I loved her relationship with her family and how much she cared about them. I crossed my fingers that she’d find her zing in the form of love in the end.

Butler was a character who had been through more than he’d care to admit. Love wasn’t in his vocabulary after experiencing losses too shattering to repair. I didnt particularly like him at first and his jerk like attitude kind of angered me. Many things he did I didn’t agree with at times whether it be in the present or the past. Throughout the progression of the story I was anxious to find out more of the story that he had to tell through his own point of view. I can’t exactly remember when he won me over but he did. He loved his club of brothers as if they were his own family. After everything he’d been through I hoped that he would find his happiness in the end.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who has read and loved the Lock & Key series! Each book is different in its own right and they all have a little bit of everything for any reader. The writing is fantastic! I can’t wait to see what Ms.Porter has in store for the readers next! This series is definitely worth One-Clicking and getting lost in! If you haven’t already bought Blood & Rust you are missing out on a killer story! Buy it Today! 5 Stars All Around! 🙂

About the Author

Cat Porter was born and raised in New York City, but also spent a few years in Europe, Texas and the suburbs along the way. As an introverted, only child, she had very big, but very secret dreams for herself. She graduated from Vassar College, was a struggling actress, an art gallery girl, special events planner, freelance writer, and had all sorts of other crazy jobs all hours of the day and night to help make those dreams come true. She has two children’s books traditionally published under her maiden name. She now lives in Greece with her husband and three children, and freaks out regularly and still daydreams way too much. She is addicted to old movies, the History Channel, her iPad, her husband’s homemade red wine, really dark chocolate, and her Nespresso coffee machine. Writing keeps her somewhat sane, extremely happy, and a productive member of society.
