My Review :

Thank you so much Social Butterfly PR for sending me an ARC of this book!! I’m so grateful and very honored!! ❤

5 Baseball doesn’t get any hotter than this Stars!!❤

I am a huge baseball fan and once i read the blurb for this book i just i had to get my hands on it! It was so nice knowing as well as understanding all of the terms and sayings related to the sport during the story. I felt as if i was getting an in depth look into a baseball players life and how crazy it can be. This was my first time reading anything by Ms. Reiss and i can tell you right now that it won’t be my last.

This is one of those books that i will have in my mind for a long time, enough to the point i plan on buying a physical copy. This is one of the most well executed sports novels i have read in a long time and it made me so happy to read about a sport that i love and hold so dearly to my heart. Ms. Reiss can turn even the most arrogant and frustrating character to most lovable one. Probably the best sports romance of 2016!

Vivian Foster is one of those heroines that is easily relate-able. She was such a kind and loving character. The way she cared for others could make any reader proud and i wish there were more people like her in real life. Her job meant a lot to her and she wasn’t just a librarian she was a person who was determined to make children’s lives better than when they started school. She had a heart of gold and was just a plain good character.

The way she cut herself down and didn’t think highly of herself was something many people struggle with such as myself so it made me happy to see her persevere a positive state of mind as the story progressed. I hated when she wasn’t happy in the book and i felt like one of my friends was upset. I absolutely loved her relationship with her father and how strong their bond was. Her love for romance novels made me ecstatic! The way she felt about Dash was so incredibly sweet and i couldn’t wait to see how their relationship turned out.

Dash Wallace was arrogant at the beginning of the story and i got scared for a moment that i wasn’t going to like him. As shortstop for the LA Dodgers things were chaotic yet amazing and he needed to have a particular order to his lifestyle to maintain that sense of normalcy. He lived and breathed baseball, it was if it was his second skin, a part of him that he couldn’t live without. The passion and true love that he had for the sport warmed my heart to no end.

What he went through daily had to be aggravating and it hurt to see him struggle. I wanted to slap him the face a few times for how he treated Vivian at certain points but then i wanted to kiss his cheeks and play ball with him. Vivian and him were something that i wasn’t if it would work out or not. I loved that he was different with her in a good way. They helped each other grow as individuals without even knowing it. His friendship with Jack was beyond entertaining and the trust that they had for each other as teammates was awe-inspiring. I just wish he was real but a girl can dream about having her own Dodgers boyfriend. 😉

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sports romance that’s about more than scoring off and on the field but one that’s about how one person appearing in your life from out of nowhere can change the course of your whole game. I want to be Dash’s Sweetapple. This book made me look even more forward to Opening Day coming up! Pick up this sexy baseball read today! You won’t regret it!! One-click now! 5 stars all around!❤

About the Author:

CD Reiss Profile

CD Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
